On Sunday morning Josie and I decided to go check on our wildflower beds that we sowed with seed back in May. I was getting a bit worried in July that the garden was not going to produce the pretty flowers that we thought it would, but just like almost anything in life with a bit-0- patience and allowing it to just bloom where planted, they have turned out Beautiful!!! This year to begin our organic wildflower garden Joe and my Dad made me some garden box's out of our old decking wood (great way to recycle those boards!). They turned out wonderfully. We then put in a rich layer of compost and soil. Then this was the hardest part: sprinkle the seeds and wait for nature to create these breath taking art pieces. This fall we plan on laying compost on the paths of the garden and planting some butterfly bushes, Daisy's, and Joe-Pye -Weed. I love to garden, but I rarely have the time and I am really bad about pulling up those sticker weeds! So this "sprinkle and see what happens" garden is perfect for our little family of gardeners!
I of course had to take Miss Cannon with me to snap captured moments of my Josie freely enjoying two of her favorite things: her pups and flowers. When I look at these pictures, I can not believe how absolutely beautiful Josie is. Her sweetness just seeps out of her into these photos. Talk about blooming where planted...this strong little one can bloom under the coldest of winters, the rainest days of spring, the hottest of summer days and the chill of fall- she amazes me! I have been putting Miss Canon on the setting for sport shots. This makes me able to snap much quicker to capture those unscripted moments. I have to look through many more photos, but I am ending up with some wonderful moments of time that I would not have caught otherwise. Thanks for a great Sunday stroll through our Wild garden Josie. I love that I am blessed with watching you bloom- XOXOX
