Great Girls

Dearest Anna and Josie,

I have had the best summer vacation with you girls. We have hung out some nights super late and some mornings we would even sleep in super late(yes, even you Anna!).Although I am typing about our summer vacation, what I really want to talk about is you AND me. Why? Because I like being in the house every morning making my coffee knowing that I will eventually hear your voices. Most of these days you have wanted to run errands with me, chat with me, swim, craft or just hang out, even if we are all doing something completely unrelated to each other. I love the fact that this summer you girls wanted to do stuff with me, as if I haven't yet fallen off the parental cool factor yet. This summer your motto was "just go with the flow" I like the fact that you chose to hang out at home most of the time when you had lots of opportunities to hang with your friends(though-it was fun seeing you play with your friends when you did get together! AND I loved craft week.). I was able to see a whole heck of a lot more of you both, have more fun with you both and relish in how at ages 11 and 9 you are amazing to be with! I have heard many parents say they are itching for summer to come to an end, but I'm not one of them. Maybe if you were not such Great Girls, I may feel otherwise.So far, for our first full summer in this country livin' life, I am digging it. And I am so, so very lucky to have you both love it too. Most of all I am blessed to have you both with me when you wake up to our late night family games...I will miss this summer. Thanks for a wonderful time Anna and Josie.
