Easter 2009

We had a wonderful time celebrating Easter in Hocking Hills. Easter Sunday was beautiful! The girls loved hiding eggs for Joe and I, they giggled and cracked up when we could not find them! A game of Hot, cold and ON FIRE had to be played more than once for Dad and I. They hid them in some really sneaky places!
The Resurrection eggs were really cool. Anna had to find numbers 1-6 eggs and Josie 7-12. I have been wanting to do the Resurrection eggs for a couple of years now. We told the story of Easter while opening the eggs after our Easter dinner. It was a great way to end Easter together.
The Easter Bunny brought the girls their baskets EARLY that morning. The Tiberi girls are known for waking up at the crack of dawn on any given day, but if it is a holiday , I don't know if they even go to sleep. Joe and I know we will not be getting much sleepin' in(and sleeping in for us is 6:00-6:30)! We herd the giggling and quiet whispering begin around 6:00, wow, we did get to sleep in! I love listening to them get excited and hearing them whisper to each other if they can see the baskets. Who ever spots them first usually breaks the whispering mode and yells "I see them!" Joe and I come out and tell them to go back to bed or we will throw their Easter Baskets out the door. The girls think we are serious and a look of panic crosses their face. It only last a second and they realize we are kidding, but they don't like us kidding around when it comes to candy in a basket! I really think the Easter bunny should leave my hubby and I a basket along with some big cups of Java so that we can get our sugar & caffeine high on to be excited at 6:00 in the morning.
Our Easter Bunny is traditional in what he puts in their baskets. They both received a chocolate bunny, jelly beans, Nerds(Annas favorite!), Lollipops(Josies Favorite!), a stuffed animal and some Smackers Lip gloss along with a bottle of cool colored nail polish. They really enjoyed checking out their yummy treasures. They still enjoy the fun of the Easter Bunny visiting them and then getting to eat most of the candy they received in one day!!! That was a huge surprise to them. We don't keep many sweets in our home, so when Joe and I told them to go to town, they could not believe it!! So after our sweet bunnies were sugared up, we played games outside and took a walk with the pups to wear them out. Then we hit the Jacuzzi! Yep,It was a beautiful Easter...
