Mom & the Zoo!

Mom has a zoo of kids that she loves to work with everyday, but she decided that it was not enough to have about 80 kids, she invited some crazy creatures to her class too!! My Mom who is LOVED by not only the children at St.Matts, but the parents also, decided they needed to add some more monkeys her jungle ~ no, not more kids, The Columbus Zoo!
We all had a wild time! Josie, Sydney,Anna and Erica were excited that the opossum was named Josie!! She was very shy, her little eyes would cross when she looked out to the kids ~ she was soooo cute! Josie loved having this sweet little opossum sharing her name with her!
When they brought out the Black Snake, I was missing Josie the opossum!! I am not much of a snake lover, my girls touched her with out a flinch!
The Barn Owl was one of my favorites. Not to long ago we had a huge Barn Owl that sat on the girls swing set for about 20 min.! My Mom watched him the entire time through her binoculars while she slowly creeped up on him! Now you know why we live in the country, people in the 'burbs did not get it when we snuck around with our binoculars to get a close up of the wildlife!!
The armadillo was a huge hit! I've never had the chance to see one close up. He was a hairy little fella underneath all that armor. His little feet were shaking like he was nervous, poor little guy!
A relation to the Kimono Dragon(I was so excited-HA! HA!) was the last to be brought out. He turned out to be the hit of the show. Remember we have about 80 kids between the ages of 5-13, so when the big guy peed and pooped on the Zoo Keeper, it brought the house down! You could not help LOL, it happened so quickly and the face on the guy holding him was priceless! The kids roared with laughter and the Zoo Keeper had a wonderful sense of humor about it!!He told everyone that it was a sight that they most likely would never see again because this guy only goes pee and poop ONCE A WEEK!! What luck we had and him!!!!
Everyone had a great time!! Mom we are so proud of you! Not only do you give continuous love to all of your family, you have such a big heart that you also give wonderful care and love to all of your students!! Thanks for inviting us,it was a lot of fun!!
